Sheriam, eine Aes Sedai mit feuerrotem Haar, trifft Egwene und Nynaeve am Kai nach dem Abgang der Amyrlin. Sie klärt Egwene über ihren Status als Novizin auf und informiert Nynaeve über das strenge Training, das die Auserwählten erwartet, und führt sie dann zum Weißen Turm.

Chapter 23 - The Testing

Sheriam — aliases: the Mistress of Novices

Sheriam guides Nynaeve into the testing chamber, explaining the rules of the ter'angreal and overseeing the ceremony. She pours water over Nynaeve after the first two trials, interprets the test's results, and helps the sobbing Nynaeve to her feet before she faces the Amyrlin.
