Selene ist eine große, elfenbeinfarbene Frau aus Cairhien, die in dieser Welt erscheint, sich vor einem Grolm rettet, Rand die Hand mit Salbe behandelt und behauptet, Wissen über Portalsteine zu besitzen.

Selene

Selene guides Rand's party to a Portal Stone hidden in the hills. She instructs Rand on how to activate the Stone and expresses confidence in his ability to save them, later explaining the nature of the mirror worlds and the potential location of the Horn of Valere.

Chapter 19 - Beneath the Dagger

Selene verbringt die Nacht damit, Rand mit Versprechungen von Ruhm und Königtum zu verführen, falls er das Horn findet. Sie wechselt ihr Kleid, indem sie Rands Hemd nutzt, schließt sich ihm und Loial an, um das Horn aus Fains Lager zu holen, und besteht darauf, dass sie in Richtung Cairhien aufbrechen, um Fains Zorn zu entgehen.

Chapter 20 - Saidin

Selene demands to see the Horn of Valere and tries to seduce Rand into taking it for himself, offering him glory and her companionship. She warns him of the danger from guards at the excavation and later follows him to the Nine Rings inn, where she makes one last attempt to convince him to claim the artifact.

Selene begleitet Rand zur Herberge, zeigt sich dem Personal gegenüber abweisend und Caldevwin gegenüber misstrauisch. Sie verlässt die Herberge heimlich in der Nacht und hinterlässt Rand eine mit einem Halbmond und Sternen versiegelte Notiz, in der sie mitteilt, dass sie ihn in Cairhien warten muss.

Chapter 27 - The Shadow in the Night

Selene appears to rescue Rand and Loial from the Trollocs. She joins them in escaping to the Illuminators' courtyard, where she is separated from Rand and Loial during the explosion and later sends him a note sealed with a crescent moon and stars.
