Ingtar, a knight of Shienar wearing a yellow cloak with a gray owl, leads the group to Lord Agelmar's study. He reports on the desperate state of the town and later brings the captured stranger, Padan Fain, to the study.

Chapter 48 - The Blight

Ingtar leads the escort of Shienaran lances to the borderpost, where he halts and formally bids farewell to Moiraine and Lan before riding north to join the defense at Tarwin's Gap, lamenting that he is commanded not to ride one step beyond the borderpost.

Chapter 53 - The Wheel Turns

Ingtar greets the group at Fal Dara with a sour grimness, revealing he was too late to see the victory in Tarwin's Gap. He bows under Moiraine's command and escorts her to Lord Agelmar, looking dismayed when the Horn of Valere is taken from the Borderlands.
