Chapter 49 - The Dark One Stirs

Green Man — aliases: Treebrother, T'ingshen

A massive figure woven from vines and leaves steps out of the foliage, possessing eyes like hazelnuts and a scar running up his head. He greets Loial and Perrin, noting Perrin's connection to wolves, and speaks to Rand about the Wheel turning. He confirms that the Eye of the World is within his sanctuary and that the Dark One is stirring.

Chapter 50 - Meetings at the Eye

The Green Man confronts the Forsaken, attempting to drive them away and prevent them from harming anything in the sanctuary. He fights Balthamel, taking grievous burns, and ultimately transforms into a massive oak tree, leaving Nynaeve resting on its roots.
