Presiding Judge — aliases: the judge, Monsieur le Président

The presiding judge takes his seat, calls for the indictment to be read, and interrogates Andrea about his identity. He reacts with astonishment to Andrea's answers and Villefort's confession, eventually declaring the session ended and adjourning the case to the next assizes.
