Uno esamina le tracce e le deiezioni per guidare il gruppo, si lamenta che il passo stia uccidendo i cavalli e cerca nelle case vuote del villaggio. Trova una donna a una finestra che sparisce e aiuta a trasportare il traghetto attraverso il fiume.
Chapter 11 - Glimmers of the Pattern

Uno discute animatamente con Ragan riguardo al fatto di aver visto una donna prima di trovare l'Uomo a Metà, quindi si mette al servizio di Ingtar come esploratore per tracciare i movimenti della preda.
Chapter 14 - Wolfbrother

Uno esamina il terreno con frustrazione, non rilevando tracce prima di validare il nuovo status di "fiuta-tracce" di Perrin quando trova le impronte dei Trolloc. Accetta la spiegazione di Ingtar riguardo alle capacità di Perrin e cavalca con il gruppo verso sud.
Chapter 28 - A New Thread in the Pattern

Uno scout in avanguardia segnala di aver avvistato un Aiel tra le rocce. Si unisce al gruppo, esprimendo disgusto per essere stato scoperto e, dopo l'incontro, definisce Urien un 'folle maledetto Aiel'.
Chapter 35 - Stedding Tsofu

Uno accompagna il gruppo nello stedding e viene ordinato da Ingtar di lasciare gli uomini armati all'esterno. Entra nella foresta con Erith e rimane con il gruppo all'interno.

Uno curses at someone hanging back and later kneels on the ground to scrub the back of his hand across his mouth after the power surge.
Chapter 41 - Disagreements

Uno searches the empty village, reporting back that the inhabitants fled with their livestock and carts, leaving only scattered debris and clothes behind.
Chapter 44 - Five Will Ride Forth
Uno — aliases: soldier
Uno alerts the group to approaching horsemen and later protests to stay with the five riders, only to be ordered by Ingtar to lead the rest of the force hidden behind them.
Chapter 49 - What Was Meant to Be
Uno — aliases: one-eyed man
Uno speaks for the Shienaran soldiers, declaring that their oaths to Ingtar and Agelmar are broken by the Dragon's return. He draws his sword and pledges his loyalty to Rand.
