Masema drops his lance and gallops toward the stranger until ordered to halt. He remains on horseback with the others, glaring at Urien, and later growls that they should have left the Aiel for the ravens.

Chapter 37 - What Might Be

Chapter 41 - Disagreements

Masema gallops ahead to scout and reports that the next village is completely empty and partially destroyed. He looks at Rand with tightening eyes but does not address him directly.

Chapter 49 - What Was Meant to Be

Masema — aliases: the one who hated him

Masema kneels before Rand, declaring that he saw the Dragon battle the Dark One. He pledges himself to Rand to the death, his eyes shining with fervor.
