Chapter 24 - New Friends and Old Enemies
Elayne
Una novizia dai capelli rosso-dorati, Elayne è incaricata di guidare Egwene. Discute delle regole della Torre, del suo passato come Figlia-Erede di Andor e della sua capacità di incanalare. Presenta Egwene a Min, Galad e al suo fratello Gawyn, e in seguito viene sgridata da Elaida per aver parlato fuori turno.
Chapter 38 - Practice
Elayne — aliases: Daughter-Heir of Andor (Figlia-Erede di Andor), Daughter-Heir (Erede-Daughter)
Elayne entra nella stanza portando la notizia della morte del re Galldrian e del turbamento di Logain. Si unisce alla pratica del Canale, rivela le sue paure riguardo all'addestramento delle Aes Sedai e insiste fermamente nell'accompagnare il gruppo a Toman Head.
Chapter 39 - Flight from the White Tower

Elayne si traveste con un abito blu, monta la sua giumenta baia e interviene quando Liandrin affronta il gruppo. Spiega che hanno sentito la conversazione di Liandrin, attraversa il Waygate e in seguito prende in giro Egwene per i suoi sentimenti romantici verso Rand.
Chapter 40 - Damane
Elayne — aliases: Daughter-Heir (Erede-Daughter)
Elayne escapes the Seanchan soldiers by hiding behind a tree until Nynaeve finds her. She expresses guilt over her cowardice but agrees to Nynaeve's plan to ride to Falme, mounting behind Nynaeve on a mare to pursue the Seanchan column.
Chapter 42 - Falme

Elayne accompagna Nynaeve attraverso le strade affollate di Falme, indossando un cappotto di pelle di pecora e nascondendo mele rubate nelle tasche. Esprime disprezzo per la sottomissione dei falmeni ai Seanchan e difende il suo furto come necessario per la loro sopravvivenza, accettando poi il turno di guardia assegnatole da Nynaeve mentre si preoccupa per le risorse in esaurimento.
Chapter 43 - A Plan

Elayne escapes the Seanchan ambush and joins Nynaeve and Min, expressing her wish for armed assistance to rescue Egwene. She travels with them to the inn and helps Nynaeve persuade Domon, standing by while the captain shares his grim experiences with the collars.
Chapter 45 - Blademaster

Elayne partecipa all'imboscata alle sul'dam e accetta a malincuore di indossare l'abito da damane tinto per fare da ostaggio. Prende la catena d'argento, si prepara a seguire Nynaeve e mostra una calma forzata riguardo alla pericolosa missione.
Chapter 46 - To Come Out of the Shadow

Elayne accompanies Nynaeve and Min into the damane quarters, helps free Egwene, and wears a dyed dress to blend in. She expresses a desire to kill the Seanchan and helps the group escape the city by running from the pursuing soldiers.
