Bayle Domon incontra tre uomini nella locanda Badger e accetta un pesante sacchetto di monete per salpare verso Mayene con un passeggero nascosto. In seguito scopre che il mandato di accompagnamento è per il suo stesso arresto da parte del re Galldrian di Cairhien e costringe il suo equipaggio a far salpare la Spray immediatamente per fuggire.

Chapter 29 - Seanchan

Domon — aliases: Captain (Capitano), trader (commerciante)

Domon allontana Spray da una nave Seanchan in inseguimento, ma viene abbordato dalla Capitana Egeanin e costretto a consegnare la sua nave a Falme. Lì, viene condotto davanti all'Alto Signore Turak, che identifica un artefatto cuendillar in possesso di Domon e lo trattiene per una conversazione.

Bayle Domon sits in The Three Plum Blossoms inn, muttering over wine until approached by Min and her friends. He listens to their plea to sail, reveals his shallow-draft ship can evade patrols if given a damane, warns them of the terror of the collars by describing the capture of an Aes Sedai, and reluctantly agrees to be ready to sail after Nynaeve shows her ring.

Bayle Domon stands on the deck of his ship, the Spray, watching the town for the returning women. He gives urgent orders to his crew, ensuring axes are ready and threatening to split any man's skull who tries to cut a line before the women board.

Bayle Domon stands on the deck of the Spray, restraining his crew from fleeing despite the chaos of fire and lightning over Falme. He insists on keeping his word to the women and waits for them to arrive.
