Mandein, a young sept chief, leads a procession of men to meet the Jenn Aiel. He questions Dermon and responds to the Aes Sedai, learns of the fate of those who refuse to come to Rhuidean, and agrees to enter the city unarmed after being challenged by the Jenn.
