A shaggy brown mare pulling the cart, who plods steadily along the road and ignores Tam's attempts to hurry her until she recognizes the way to the Winespring Inn.
Chapter 4 - The Gleeman

Bela is brought out of the stable by Tam, who gathers Rand onto the cart. The shaggy brown mare pulls the high-wheeled cart out of the stableyard and along the Quarry Road.
Chapter 10 - Leavetaking
Bela
Bela, the shaggy brown mare, is saddled by Rand for Egwene. She accepts the unfamiliar saddle with a shake of her mane and prepares to ride with the group.
