Chapter 2 - Strangers

Moiraine arrives in Emond's Field wearing a blue velvet cloak and intricate gold jewelry, accompanied by her sword-wielding attendant Lan. She interacts with Rand and Mat in the Green, giving them silver coins and tasks while claiming to be a student of history interested in the region's past.

Chapter 4 - The Gleeman

Moiraine joins the crowd watching Thom Merrilin and engages in a polite but wary exchange with him regarding his stories. She accepts his bow with grace before walking away with Lan.

Chapter 7 - Out of the Woods

Moiraine sits with Lan, examining the bodies of dead Trollocs and counting their band badges. She speaks with Rand, acknowledging her role in the battle and agreeing to attempt to heal Tam, despite the limitations of her power and the turning of the Wheel.

Moiraine interrupts the group to confirm they have kept their departure secret. She permits Egwene and Thom to join their party, stating it is part of the Pattern, and leads them out of the village toward Taren Ferry.

Chapter 11 - The Road to Taren Ferry

Moiraine magically removes the fatigue from the horses and later unleashes a thick, icy fog to hide the group from the Draghkar. She rides with Lan, explaining the limitations of killing the creature from horseback.

Chapter 12 - Across the Taren

Moiraine speaks briefly with Lan before leading the group to the ferry, where she pays the ferryman for the journey and adds a silver mark for each helper. Chapter 14 - The Stag and Lion

Moiraine guides the group through Baerlon under the alias Mistress Alys, arranges for baths and a private meal, and proposes they rest in Baerlon for two nights. Lan informs the party that Logain has won a battle in Ghealdan. Chapter 19 - Shadow’s Waiting

Moiraine rests in the safehouse, heals her fatigue with Nynaeve's help, and explains to the group the true nature of Mordeth and Mashadar after the boys return, then directs the evacuation of the city as a horde of Trollocs is driven inside.

Chapter 21 - Listen to the Wind

Moiraine rests by a riverbank with Lan, analyzing the tracks left by the pursuing army. She reveals to Nynaeve that she can channel by detailing her past symptoms and the danger faced by women who cannot control the Power. She informs Nynaeve that one of the boys is alive across the river and orders Nynaeve to join them in heading south.

Chapter 28 - Footprints in Air

Moiraine rides confidently ahead, sensing the location of the boys through their emotional traces and the scent of the Pattern.
