Chapter 3 - The Peddler

Egwene stands behind Nynaeve, watching the youths with disapproval and a secret smile. She confronts Rand about his feelings and her future as a Wisdom, revealing her desire to leave the Two Rivers and her fear of losing her connection to him if she does.
Chapter 4 - The Gleeman
Egwene
Egwene reacts with delight at seeing a gleeman and asks for specific stories, only to be scolded by Thom Merrilin for her age-appropriate behavior. She glares at Rand for laughing at her request and later follows Nynaeve away after the Wisdom rebukes the Council.
Chapter 7 - Out of the Woods
Egwene
Running through the smoky village with bandages, Egwene stops to guide Rand and Tam to Nynaeve. She embraces Rand in sympathy after Nynaeve refuses to help his father, then leaves abruptly at Nynaeve's shout to assist the Wisdom with her duties.
Chapter 10 - Leavetaking
Egwene
Egwene sneaks into the stables, revealing she has pieced together the boys' plans. She refuses to be left behind, and despite Lan's objections, Moiraine permits her to come. She mounts Bela and rides near Moiraine as they depart.
Chapter 11 - The Road to Taren Ferry
Egwene
Egwene rides Bela, who runs with surprising stamina after Moiraine’s intervention. She displays excitement and delight at the thrill of the night ride, smiling in the moonlight, and shouts urging for Rand to mount as the Draghkar returns.
Chapter 12 - Across the Taren
Egwene
Egwene marches along without a word, her back straight and her head high. She travels to the hidden hollow with Moiraine, where she is guided to channel saidar for the first time, producing a faint light from a stone that Moiraine confirms was her own doing, much to Egwene's delight.
