Chapter 4 - The Gleeman

Bela is brought out of the stable by Tam, who gathers Rand onto the cart. The shaggy brown mare pulls the high-wheeled cart out of the stableyard and along the Quarry Road.
Chapter 10 - Leavetaking
Bela
Bela, the shaggy brown mare, is saddled by Rand for Egwene. She accepts the unfamiliar saddle with a shake of her mane and prepares to ride with the group.
Chapter 11 - The Road to Taren Ferry
Bela
Bela, Egwene’s shaggy brown mare, runs with neck outstretched and mane streaming, matching the larger horses’ strides and showing more stamina than expected after Moiraine’s intervention.
Chapter 12 - Across the Taren
Bela
Bela is ridden by Egwene through the fog and onto the ferry. She stands with the other horses during the crossing and is followed by Egwene as the group descends the ramp after the landing is destroyed.
