The gnarled thatcher of Emond's Field who appears to complain about the weather and Nynaeve's predictions. He spreads gloom about the lack of storks and the possibility of the winter ending, before fleeing the Mayor's wrath to seek mulled wine.
Chapter 3 - The Peddler
Cenn / Cenn Buie — aliases: the thatcher
Cenn Buie challenges the Council's authority and Fain's narrative, refusing to remain silent about the lack of spring and the danger of the Dragon Reborn. He argues vehemently with the Mayor and Tam, then turns his attention to mocking Old Bil Congar for naming the Dark One.
Chapter 4 - The Gleeman
Cenn / Cenn Buie — aliases: old grandfather
Cenn Buie criticizes the gleeman's expense and complains about Nynaeve's lack of respect. He is reprimanded by Mayor Bran al'Vere for acting like a black-veiled Aiel and is calmed by Haral Luhhan.
