Chapter 8 - A Place of Safety

Chapter 20 - Dust on the Wind

Rand travels with Mat, sleeping in haystacks and navigating Carysford while fearing pursuit by Fades and Darkfriends. He overhears the plot against them, approaches Almen Bunt, and pulls Mat onto the cart before falling into a nightmare of a raven attacking him and waking up in Caemlyn.

Chapter 39 - Weaving of the Web

Rand leaves his room to join the celebration, ignoring Mat's refusal to come with him. When Aginor and Balthamel appear, Rand grabs Egwene to stop her from rushing to Nynaeve's aid, pulls her away from the confrontation, and flees with the group as Moiraine battles Aginor.
Chapter 51 - Against the Shadow

Rand flees Aginor across the mountain, eventually being cornered on a precipice. He taps into the One Power, summoning a massive storm of fire and earth that destroys the Trolloc army. He then enters a dreamscape to confront Ba'alzamon, where he uses a blade of light to sever the Dark One's power cord and destroy his opponent's form.
