Chapter 1 - An Empty Road

Cenn / Cenn Buie — aliases: thatcher

The gnarled thatcher of Emond's Field who appears to complain about the weather and Nynaeve's predictions. He spreads gloom about the lack of storks and the possibility of the winter ending, before fleeing the Mayor's wrath to seek mulled wine.

Chapter 3 - The Peddler

Cenn Buie challenges the Council's authority and Fain's narrative, refusing to remain silent about the lack of spring and the danger of the Dragon Reborn. He argues with the Mayor and Tam, who reprimand him for his conduct and remind him of his position on the Council.

Chapter 4 - The Gleeman

Cenn Buie complains about the cost of the gleeman and later grows purple with rage at Nynaeve's disrespect. He is rebuked by the Mayor, who tells him to stop acting like a black-veiled Aiel, causing Cenn to freeze in astonishment.

Chapter 9 - Tellings of the Wheel

Cenn Buie stands in the front line, muttering that Aes Sedai bring trouble and refusing to support Hari's extremism. He feels shame when Bran calls him out and retreats into the crowd after the confrontation ends.
