Selene appears in Rand's chambers, revealing herself as the Forsaken Lanfear, claiming Rand belongs to her, and attempting to persuade him to join her in ruling the world under the Dark One before he kills an assassin she sent.

Chapter 10 - The Stone Stands

Lanfear — aliases: the Daughter of the Night

Lanfear appears to Rand during the battle, claiming she did not orchestrate the attack and that she likes him uncertain and less arrogant. She demonstrates her ability to counter his channeling, allows him to flee to retrieve Callandor, and speculates that she will not try to kill him as long as she believes she can win him back.

Chapter 50 - Traps

Lanfear

Lanfear appears in Rand's dream in a pond, interacting with him before revealing her identity. She bites his neck, leaving a wound, and argues with a blurred male figure before vanishing. She is physically present in the dream narrative.

Chapter 57 - A Breaking in the Three-fold Land

Lanfear

Lanfear appears to Rand within his protective rain dome, revealing that Asmodean has fled Rhuidean to find a sa'angreal. She attempts to seduce Rand. Rand creates a doorway to follow Asmodean, stepping through it and leaving Lanfear behind.
