Aleis Barsalla, the ruler of Far Madding, welcomes Harine din Togara in the Hall of the Counsels but is challenged by Cadsuane's presence. She becomes uncomfortable under Verin's veiled threats regarding the Dragon Reborn and Guaire Amalasan, eventually departing with Verin after summoning other Counsels to escort Harine and Cadsuane.
