Egwene walks with Elayne through the dream version of Emond's Field, noting its prosperity and changes. She expresses distress over the rumors that Rand might chain Aes Sedai, refuses Elayne's offer of soldiers, and abruptly leaves the dream after stating that pleasant dreams are more valuable than people.
