Wil al'Seen, a good-looking boy from Deven Ride, smiles at Faile and then avoids Perrin's gaze, fleeing to join the crowd around Verin when he feels the weight of Perrin's attention.

Wil al'Seen joins Perrin's group, argues with other youths about leadership, and helps draw the Whitecloaks away during the escape by shouting loudly.

Wil al'Seen mocks Perrin's hunt and later refuses to leave, fighting in the ambush. He sees Kenley Ahan dead and later rides with the group out of the forest.

Wil whistles a song, kisses several Tinker women during the farewell, and participates in the singing of the Two Rivers men.
