Tam al’Thor arrives at the sickhouse with Abell, having been hidden by the Aes Sedai. He gives rabbits to Alanna and discusses the Whitecloak camp and the raven killings with Perrin away from the sisters.

Tam leads the way with Abell, explains the abandonment of farms to Perrin, and helps secure the group's welcome by affirming Perrin's character during the questioning at the al'Seen farm.

Dresses the ranks of archers and spearmen, shouting commands to hold their fire until the Trollocs reach three hundred paces. He watches the battle with seriousness and does not join the celebrating villagers.
