Chapter 10 - Secrets
Nynaeve
Nynaeve viaggia come Accettata e utilizza le sue capacità di percepire il tempo per avvertire una tempesta di uomini. Canalizza il Potere durante l'attacco per molestare i Whitecloak ed esprime preoccupazione per la peggiorante febbre di Mat e per la sua incapacità di guarirlo senza i suoi medicinali.
Chapter 11 - Tar Valon

Nynaeve entra a Tar Valon, visibilmente frustrata dalla partenza di Hurin e dagli avvertimenti di Verin sui pericoli della Torre. Viene ordinato da Sheriam di mantenere il silenzio e di restare confinata, e fissa Faolain, un'Aumentata che la prende in giro per il suo status di Aes Sedai selvaggia, prima di permettere a Theodrin di condurla via.
Chapter 13 - Punishments

Nynaeve arrives at the Amyrlin’s study escorted by Theodrin. She attempts to defend herself by citing Liandrin’s deception but is silenced by Siuan. She is assigned to kitchen labor alongside the others and is promoted to Accepted, though she remains tense and wary of the Amyrlin’s authority.
Chapter 14 - The Bite of the Thorns

Nynaeve mette in discussione le motivazioni di Siuan e la fattibilità della loro missione, cercando inizialmente di rifiutarsi per conto di Egwene. Chapter 15 - The Gray Man

Nynaeve leads Egwene through the halls, theorizing about threats and checking Elayne's room before pulling Egwene out of the way of a crossbow bolt. She uses Air to immobilize the Gray Man, examines the stabbed corpse with Sheriam, and uses Air to create a protective dome over the body. She questions Sheriam's actions and later urges Egwene to remember the danger of the Black Ajah and the Gray Men.
Chapter 16 - Hunters Three

Nynaeve ospita Egwene ed Elayne nei suoi più ampi appartamenti delle Accettate. Nynaeve attempts to leave but is stopped by Elaida. She firmly defends the Amyrlin's orders to Elaida and later challenges Sheriam's account of the Soulless cover-up. Despite her defiance, she complies with Sheriam's orders to proceed to the healing chamber.
Chapter 18 - Healing
Nynaeve
Nynaeve is escorted by Sheriam to the healing chamber, where she feels the overwhelming pull of the Power used to break the dagger's bond. She watches Mat's struggle with the urge to channel herself, eventually restraining her desire to interfere. After the Healing, she asks about Mat's survival, and the Amyrlin confirms he will live, noting that he spoke of Aes Sedai, not just battle, before leaving with the others.
Chapter 23 - Sealed

Nynaeve al'Meara siede accanto a Elayne, lenendo le sue lacrime e stringendo a sé Egwene ed Elayne mentre piangono le loro terrificanti visioni del futuro. Promette che un giorno costringeranno i loro carcerieri a pagare per ciò che hanno visto.

Nynaeve paces the room while discussing the Black Ajah list with her friends, expressing frustration at the lack of obvious patterns in the suspects' details. She agrees to let Egwene use the Dreaming ring despite her own stronger channeling ability, and later agrees with Egwene that suspicion should not be cast on Alanna without more evidence, before Else arrives.
Chapter 26 - Behind a Lock

Nynaeve conduce Egwene ed Elayne nel seminterrato della biblioteca, apre un ripostiglio chiuso con una leva magica allungata ed esamina il contenuto delle borse delle Aie Sombre, identificandole come esche.
Chapter 27 - Tel’aran’rhiod

Nynaeve resta sveglia per vegliare Egwene mentre dorme nel Mondo dei Sogni, svegliandosi in allarme quando Egwene urla dal dolore. Al ritorno di Egwene, Nynaeve aiuta a garantire il ritorno del gruppo alla realtà, conferma la posizione delle Aiel Nere sulla base del resoconto di Egwene e accetta il piano di fuggire da Tar Valon su una nave mercantile.
Chapter 28 - A Way Out

Nynaeve works the roasting spit in the kitchens while secretly reporting their findings in the library storeroom to Siuan Sanche. She realizes Else Grinwell was sent away by the Amyrlin, confirming a trap, and asks Siuan about Callandor before preparing to leave Tar Valon.
Chapter 37 - Fires in Cairhien

Nynaeve takes charge of the stranded ship's situation, ordering Captain Ellisor to ferry the women ashore at Jurene to avoid wasting time. She insists on walking the shorter distance to the village rather than waiting for the ship to be freed and suppresses her anger at the Captain's fear of the Aes Sedai.
Chapter 38 - Maidens of the Spear

Nynaeve confronts the Aiel with calm authority and later heals Dailin using a mixture of herbs and the One Power. She expresses disdain for the Aiel's warrior mentality while commanding them to care for the healed woman, revealing her wilder heritage through her integrated channeling.
Chapter 39 - Threads in the Pattern

Nynaeve heals Dailin completely using the One Power and herbs, displays authority over the Aiel, and is captured by brigands. She recovers, heals a dying Elayne, and uses balefire to annihilate the Myrddraal, then secures passage on the Darter.
Chapter 48 - Following the Craft
Nynaeve — aliases: Maryim, Mistress Maryim
Nynaeve battles persistent vomiting and uses her herbal expertise to impress Mother Guenna, establishing herself as a practitioner of the craft rather than an Aes Sedai. She secures rooms for the group and hires Juilin Sandar as a thief-catcher to track the Black Ajah, defending her manipulative tactics when challenged by Elayne.
Chapter 49 - A Storm in Tear

Nynaeve assume Juilin Sandar pagando tredici marchi d'argento e fornendo descrizioni dettagliate delle sorelle dell'Aia Nera. Avverte Juilin del loro pericolo e successivamente siede con Ailhuin parlando di erbe mentre aspetta il ritorno di Egwene dal Sognare.
Chapter 51 - Bait for the Net
Nynaeve / Maryim
Nynaeve struggles through the mud of Tear while buying meat, then confronts Juilin Sandar before rushing to the Wisdom's house to find Liandrin and Rianna waiting. She is shielded, beaten, and captured along with Elayne and Egwene, who are forced into a coach under threat of death.
Chapter 55 - What Is Written in Prophecy

Nynaeve waits in the cell with Elayne and an unconscious Egwene. She is shocked by Mat's arrival and tells him to mind his language. She steps forward and strikes Amico Nagoyin, knocking her off the bench, which breaks the shield on the women. She heals Egwene and Elayne's bruises and confronts Mat about the situation, eventually agreeing he is right to leave.
