Zarine / Mandarb / Zarine Bashere / Faile — aliases: girl (ragazza), Hunter of the Horn (Cacciatore del Corno)
Zarine Bashere salta sulla Snow Goose, rivela di essere una Cacciatrice del Corno alla ricerca del Corno nelle Montagne di Nebbia e adotta i nomi Mandarb e Faile per i suoi viaggi, insistendo per accompagnare il gruppo di Perrin.
Chapter 36 - Daughter of the Night
Zarine
Zarine è seduta su un rotolo di corda vicino alla ringhiera, mentre affila un coltello e guarda Perrin passare.
Chapter 41 - A Hunter’s Oath
Zarine / Faile — aliases: falcon (falco), Hunter of the Horn (Cacciatore del Corno)
Zarine, insistendo di essere chiamata Faile, negozia con audacia il suo posto nel gruppo giurando un giuramento da Cacciatore a Moiraine di obbedire agli ordini e non porre domande. Poi tenta di montare il cavallo di Perrin, costringendolo ad aiutarla a salire sulla schiena di Stepper.
Chapter 42 - Easing the Badger

Zarine travels with the group, mocking Perrin's shyness and eating her fish with disgust. She retrieves a knife from a dead Gray Man during the fight and argues with Moiraine about her lack of information regarding the danger they face.
Chapter 43 - Shadowbrothers
Zarine / Faile — aliases: girl (ragazza), Hunter of the Horn (Cacciatore del Corno)
Zarine ascolta la scoperta del gruppo riguardo al Darkhound e inizialmente mette in discussione la severità di Lan. Rimane con Perrin nella loro stanza, mettendone in dubbio l'identità e lo status di ta'veren, prima di osservarlo svegliarsi dal suo sogno.
Chapter 44 - Hunted
Zarine — aliases: Mandarb
Zarine refuses to swear an oath to go another way, choosing to follow the group. She mounts a bay gelding offered by Lan and rides alongside Perrin. She questions Moiraine about the threat and the power she used, expressing shock that Mat sounded the Horn of Valere.
Chapter 50 - The Hammer
Zarine / Faile — aliases: mistress (signora)
Zarine, che insiste per essere chiamata Faile, interroga il gruppo sulla loro destinazione e sul pericolo rappresentato dai Forsaken. Dopo aver ribadito il suo impegno nella caccia nonostante la paura, rimane con il gruppo.
Chapter 53 - A Flow of the Spirit

Zarine walks with Perrin toward the inn and eagerly runs into their private dining room to find Moiraine. She collapses on the floor, trapped by a hedgehog ter’angreal, appearing lifeless with a stopped heartbeat while her consciousness is pulled into the World of Dreams.
Chapter 54 - Into the Stone
Faile
Faile appears in Perrin's dream as a vision chained to a stone block, smiles at him as he frees her, and then fades away as the dream shifts.
Chapter 55 - What Is Written in Prophecy
Faile — aliases: falcon (falco), falcons
Faile appears in the dream chained to a perch, protected by the falcons. Perrin breaks her chain, and she kneels over him in the waking world, wiping blood from his face and calling him her poor blacksmith. She is physically present in the dining room of the Star inn, unconscious in the dream but awake in reality.
