Chapter 5 - Questioners
Nynaeve
Egwene, Nynaeve, and Aviendha conduct an interrogation of the captive Black Ajah sisters Joiya Byir and Amico Nagoyin in the Stone. Egwene maintains a Spirit shield on the able-to-channel Joiya, while the stilled Amico provides fragmented information about a danger in Tanchico. Joiya later reveals a conspiracy involving Mazrim Taim, proposing a plan to use him as a false Dragon to destroy the real one. During the questioning, Nynaeve lectures Aviendha on the irreversible nature of stilling and asserts her authority over Egwene. The session is interrupted by the arrival of Moiraine and Elayne, with Elayne frowning in thought.
Chapter 6 - Doorways

Nynaeve angrily confronts Moiraine for sending the prisoners away without further assistance, demanding to know how they can decide who is lying. Afterward, she serves spiced wine to Elayne and Egwene, questioning Elayne's resolve to love Rand and advising her to consider the practical consequences of their dangerous path.
Chapter 9 - Decisions

Nynaeve questions the Black Ajah prisoners and argues with Egwene about the reliability of Moiraine's reports, while also worrying about the passage of time.
Chapter 11 - What Lies Hidden
Nynaeve
Nynaeve sits by Egwene's bedside, projecting brisk confidence while fearing the dangers of Tel'aran'rhiod, and agrees to wake Egwene when the candle burns down.
Chapter 12 - Tanchico or the Tower
Nynaeve
Nynaeve is furious at first that Egwene stayed in Tel'aran'rhiod too long, fearing she might be lost. She argues that Egwene needs training more than she needs to go to Tanchico, ultimately agreeing to sail to Tanchico with Elayne while instructing Lan to help Egwene with supplies.
Chapter 16 - Leavetakings

Nynaeve calmly faces Lan's anger about her deception regarding their destination. She produces an Amyrlin warrant ordering Lan to accompany her to Tanchico, forcing him to obey despite his protests, before kissing him to assert her claim over him.
Chapter 19 - The Wavedancer

Nynaeve complains about the rough carriage ride and displays a lack of tact toward the driver and the Sea Folk crew. She leads the initial conversation with Coine, offering a letter-of-rights for passage and bluntly questioning the Sailmistress's motives before agreeing to hide their identity on the ship.
Chapter 20 - Winds Rising

Nynaeve accompanies Elayne to the Wavedancer and sternly commands permission for Thom and Juilin to travel with them, asserting her authority as an Accepted. She expresses distrust of both men, particularly Juilin for his past betrayal, and worries about Moiraine's motives while the ship departs.
Chapter 39 - A Cup of Wine

Nynaeve navigates the political landscape of Tanchico with Elayne, uses a concoction to purge Elayne of drugged wine, and dreams in Tel'aran'rhiod where she is attacked by a Lan-like figure before waking with a real wound.
Chapter 46 - Veils
Nynaeve / Nynaeve al'Meara
Nynaeve fights off attackers with a barrel stave and later leads the search for the Black Ajah in Tanchico. She is subjected to the suggestion of a powerful channeling woman who forces her to reveal their goals and blocks them from channeling, then erases their memory of the encounter, leaving Nynaeve confused but still determined to find the Black sisters.
Chapter 51 - Revelations in Tanchico

Nynaeve aggressively interrogates Egeanin upon the revelation of her Seanchan identity, accusing her of espionage. She learns of Egeanin's release of Bethamin and accepts the reports from Domon and Juilin regarding the Black Ajah's location at the Panarch's Palace. She binds Egeanin with Air to sleep in their room and prepares to visit Egwene in the World of Dreams.
Chapter 52 - Need
Nynaeve — aliases: Aes Sedai, Wisdom
Nynaeve enters Tel'aran'rhiod and uses Amys's method of focusing on 'need' to shift to the Panarch's Palace, where she observes Temaile and Amathera. She feels a mysterious pull toward a woman in mist who is revealed to be Moghedien, then encounters Birgitte and Gaidal Cain who warn her of the Forsaken. After retrieving information about a black ter'angreal and a cuendillar seal, she wakes up and directs Elayne, Egeanin, and the men on how to handle a mysterious Seanchan intruder in their inn.
