Asmodean flees through a magical platform, taunting Rand and launching fire attacks. He is confronted by Rand in Rhuidean, where they struggle for a sa'angreal. After being stripped of his link to the Dark One by Rand, he is coerced by Lanfear into serving Rand as the gleeman Jasin Natael.
