She threads through the crowded streets hunting Floran Gelb, jumps onto a fountain coping to spot his ambush party, and saves Elayne and Nynaeve from kidnappers by fighting with a staff. She accompanies the women back to the inn and offers to help them find the Black sisters in exchange for answers about Aes Sedai, but leaves abruptly when Thom Merrilin warns of Whitecloak movements, vowing to return to learn more.
