Vandene Namelle stands with Adeleas among the Aes Sedai, displaying disapproval of the Sea Folk and the Kin's presence in the stableyard. She adjusts her dust-cloak and skirts under the tension of the scene.

Chapter 2 - Unweaving

Vandene approaches Elayne and Nynaeve while they sort ter'angreal, warning them of the danger by recounting the story of Martine Janata being burned out. She joins the other Aes Sedai in rebuking Aviendha for unweaving the gateway and suggests Aviendha submit to their guidance.

Chapter 5 - The Breaking Storm

Vandene remains below the hilltop with Adeleas, sequestered with Ispan Shefar. She is not present on the hill during the weaving.
