Ethenielle rides with her escort to a meeting in the Black Hills, where she forms a blood-oath alliance with the Borderland kings and Queen Tenobia to find the Dragon Reborn, while recognizing a mutual attraction with Tenobia's uncle, Kalyan Ramsin, during a dinner invitation arranged by the Queen.
