Chapter 38 - Remember the Old Saying

Summary

Suroth and Galgan discuss the disastrous military situation in Arad Doman while Galgan secretly plots to usurp the throne. Tuon arrives with Deathwatch Guards and Ogier, presenting Elbar's severed head as proof of his attempted assassination before stripping Suroth of her Blood status and ordering her sold as a da'covale. Meanwhile, Pevara leads six Red sisters to the Black Tower to negotiate bonding Asha'man as Warders. They face guarded gates and enter a throne room where Mazrim Taim mocks their proposal but surprisingly agrees to allow the bonding, citing an old saying about chaos.
