Jorin accompanies her sister Coine and observes the interaction with the Aes Sedai. She speaks only once to confirm that they must take the women, and later laughs at the prospect of putting Coine in the bilges as ballast if she were to lose her way without a Windfinder.

Jorin din Jubai, the Windfinder of the Wavedancer and sister to the Sailmistress Coine, channels Air and Water to drive the ship into the open sea, a power she hides from the White Tower. After Elayne observes her and promises to protect her secret, Jorin kisses Elayne's fingers and agrees to teach her to channel.
