Bain and Chiad catch up to the others at a run. They share a look, and Chiad mocks the 'Stone Dog' Gaul, warning Perrin that they intend to teach him a lesson for Faile's sake.
Chapter 27 - Within the Ways
Bain
Bain rides with Faile's party through the Ways. She laughs with Chiad at Gaul's comment about women and later uses her curved bow to shoot arrows at the Myrddraal before the group escapes.
Chapter 29 - Homecoming

Bain accompanies Faile to the inn, presents a golden bowl to Mistress al’Vere, and critiques the Whitecloaks’ role in protecting the Two Rivers.
Chapter 30 - Beyond the Oak

Bain accompanies Faile to the sickhouse location, watching the Warders with her spear ready until Mistress al’Vere calms the situation.
Chapter 31 - Assurances
Bain
Bain enters the sickhouse with Faile and Chiad. She attempts to explain Perrin’s wound to Alanna but is stopped by Chiad. She is later healed by Alanna and tests her healed arm.

Bain rides with Faile, hangs a rabbit by her quiver, and follows Gaul into hiding when the group arrives at the al'Seen farm.
Chapter 33 - A New Weave in the Pattern

Bain arrives with Chiad to join the party, engages in playful banter with the Two Rivers youths, and helps take down a guard at the prisoner's tent with a kick.

Bain survives the ambush unhurt, along with the Aiel who glide ahead of the retreating group.

Bain
Bain speaks urgently to Faile about spending the night in a thicket away from the Tinkers, then rides away after Gaul, laughing with Chiad about inducing Gaul to play a game.
Chapter 42 - A Missing Leaf
Bain
Bain trots ahead of the group after leaving the Tinker camp, looking to Faile before taking her usual position with the other Maidens.
Chapter 44 - The Breaking Storm
Bain
Runs from the trees, reports that five hundred Trollocs are behind the village, and sits near the stakes playing a knife-flipping game.
