Mistress al'Meara

Chapter 5 - Questioners

Nynaeve

Nynaeve questions the prisoners with skepticism, particularly rejecting Joiya's story as a lie. She engages in a power struggle with Egwene regarding authority and lectures Aviendha on the irreversibility of stilling, adopting an Aes Sedai-like lecturing tone to assert dominance.

Chapter 6 - Doorways

Nynaeve

Nynaeve confronts Moiraine with indignation at being abandoned during the prisoner interrogation and later questions the wisdom of starting a war in Illian. She pours spiced wine for the group and sharpens Elayne regarding the dangers of loving Rand, noting his channeling abilities and the likelihood of death. She urges the women to be decisive in their actions rather than waiting for circumstances to resolve themselves.

Chapter 9 - Decisions

Nynaeve

Nynaeve al'Thor spends her hours questioning the Black Ajah prisoners and preparing food for Lan, displaying frustration with the cooking and cursing the cooks while feeling the rush of time keenly.

Chapter 12 - Tanchico or the Tower

Nynaeve / Nynaeve al'Thor

Nynaeve anxiously waits for Egwene to wake and later argues about the dangers of the World of Dreams and the plan to hunt the Black Ajah. She asserts that she and Elayne will go to Tanchico, dismissing Aviendha’s desire to join them, and begins planning their departure.

Chapter 16 - Leavetakings

Nynaeve al'Meara — aliases: Nynaeve

Nynaeve confronts Lan about his deception regarding her mission to Tanchico, producing a letter from Amyrlin Siuan to assert her authority. When Lan moves to stop them, she allows him to kiss her passionately, declaring she wants him to be hers completely rather than letting him remember a broken oath to Moiraine. Elayne, observing the interaction, resolves to ensure Rand cannot easily escape her influence and that he will find it difficult to worm his way back into her good graces, internalizing the lesson that men need a firm hand.
