Inspects a murder scene with Sleete and Chubain, deduces an assassin rather than Black Ajah based on forced locks and lack of channeling signs. Confronts Egwene about the killings and his desire to bond her, learning Mesaana is the killer and that she plans to use herself as bait.
Chapter 22 - The End of a Legend

Walks the White Tower grounds at night, discusses his future and the Younglings' doubts with Celark, seeks counsel from General Bryne regarding his devotion to Egwene. After Siuan Sanche interrupts them, chases a hooded assassin near Egwene's door, fights the creature's unnatural speed, loses it, and bursts into her unlocked room only to be caught in a trap by Egwene herself.
Chapter 23 - Foxheads

Reprimanded by Egwene for disobeying orders and scaring away an assassin, argues that she does not want a Warder, gifts loyal soldiers to High Captain Chubain, and leaves Tar Valon on horseback to visit his sister.
