Uno, a Shienaran warrior with a painted eye, guides Nynaeve away from the crowd to discuss their mutual connections to Rand and Masema. He describes their reliance on Masema for survival and expresses dismay at the Whitecloak violence before stopping at the city gates, refusing to take Nynaeve into the riot while reluctantly following her lead.

Chapter 40 - The Wheel Weaves

Uno stands with Ragan to protect Nynaeve from Galad, then agrees to follow her orders after she asserts her authority. He delivers her message to find a boat and joins her train of fifteen Shienarans, accepting her command to ask for 'Nana' at the menagerie wagons.

Chapter 48 - Leavetakings

Uno leads the Shienaran followers in the fight, sustaining a facial gash and an injured arm. He stands with Thom and Juilin watching the captain, and later helps secure the passage for the refugees.
