Asmodean, disguised as the gleeman Natael, lounges in Rand's tent with a harp. He engages in idle conversation with Mat, plays a mournful tune, and later stares intensely at Mat after hearing his strategic insights before playing 'March of Death' for Rand.

Chapter 44 - The Lesser Sadness

Disguised as Natael, Asmodean helps carry water to the wounded. He approaches Rand, learns of Sammael's attack, and provides Rand with a trickle of saidin to keep him from dying after he collapses.

Asmodean rides alongside Rand, having abandoned his previous guise for a green silk outfit and the crimson banner carried by Pevin. He watches Rand's psychological warfare against the High Lords with a sardonic grin.
