Morgase rides in a hawking party, fending off the attentions of her Amadician ladies-in-waiting and enduring the close supervision of Whitecloak commander Norowhin. She observes refugees fleeing Rand's influence and internally resolves to maintain her political leverage and hope for liberation.

Morgase — aliases: Queen

Morgase prepares to escape the Fortress with her companions but is intercepted by Questioner Saren. She is forced to watch Paitr and her allies be hanged, then stands before Niall and signs a treaty allowing Whitecloak troops into Andor to save her people.
