Appearing in his dream as a captor turned rescuer, Gawyn fights a dream-Rand in a white-columned hall. He frees Egwene from chains, carries her through corridors and to a flowered hillside, and hesitantly confesses his romantic feelings, fearing his brother Galad's disapproval.
