Her walk is interrupted by two novices attempting to blackmail her with knowledge of Nynaeve and Elayne's past pretenses, which she rebuffs with a stern threat.

Chapter 12 - A Morning of Victory

Egwene rides with Bryne, Siuan, and Myrelle, learning of rumors about Rand and the instability of the countryside. She confronts Myrelle and Nisao to reclaim Lan Mandragoran for Nynaeve, forces them to swear fealty, dismisses the blackmailing novices, and handles political correspondence upon returning to camp.
