Heirn, an older, leathery-faced man, arrives with men from the Jindo sept to protect Rhuarc. He stands with Rhuarc and Couladin, then walks away toward the smaller encampment with Rhuarc after being dismissed.

Chapter 36 - Misdirections

Heirn rides with Rhuarc at the front of the column, displaying a grim expression when encountering the peddlers. He accompanies Rhuarc to halt the advance and speak with Kadere, firmly rejecting Couladin's attempt to claim the peddler's company.

Chapter 37 - Imre Stand

Heirn

Heirn is a Shaido guard who stands with Rhuarc. He attempts to buy Two Rivers tobacco from the peddlers. He eats at Rhuarc’s fire with Rand, Mat, and Natael.

Chapter 49 - Cold Rocks Hold

Heirn

Enters the hold with Rhuarc, asks permission to come beneath the roof, and leaves to rejoin his people.
