Tomas rides with the group, controls his horse with his knees, and defends Perrin's innocence by contrasting the young man's upbringing with the Whitecloaks who burned farms, while sitting tense as if about to draw his sword.

Chapter 33 - A New Weave in the Pattern

Tomas remains behind with Verin to draw off the Whitecloak pursuers, leaving the rescue party to ride to safety.

Chapter 44 - The Breaking Storm

Rides up to Perrin, explains that the single Trolloc was a test, and points out that the next attack will be stronger. He watches the battle with the other Warder and does not join the celebration.

Chapter 53 - The Price of a Departure

Tomas, a Warder, stands guard at the west end of the village with Bain and Chiad. He urges Perrin to go to bed and claps him on the shoulder before Perrin leaves.
