Selene aparece en las cámaras de Rand, revelándose como la Forsaken Lanfear, afirmando que Rand le pertenece e intentando persuadirlo para que se una a ella en el gobierno del mundo bajo el Uno Oscuro antes de que mate a un asesino que ella envió.
Chapter 10 - The Stone Stands
Lanfear — aliases: the Daughter of the Night (la Hija de la Noche)
Lanfear aparece ante Rand durante la batalla, afirmando que no orquestó el ataque y que le gusta ver a un Rand incierto y menos arrogante. Demuestra su capacidad para contrarrestar su canalización, le permite huir para recuperar Callandor y especula que no intentará matarlo mientras crea que puede recuperarlo.
Chapter 50 - Traps
Lanfear
Lanfear appears in Rand's dream in a pond, interacting with him before revealing her identity. She bites his neck, leaving a wound, and argues with a blurred male figure before vanishing. She is physically present in the dream narrative.
Chapter 57 - A Breaking in the Three-fold Land
Lanfear
Lanfear appears to Rand within his protective rain dome, revealing that Asmodean has fled Rhuidean to find a sa'angreal. She attempts to seduce Rand. Rand creates a doorway to follow Asmodean, stepping through it and leaving Lanfear behind.
Chapter 58 - The Traps of Rhuidean
Lanfear / Isendre / Mierin — aliases: Forsaken (Abandonado)
Lanfear aparece después de que Rand derrota a Asmodean, revelando su nombre como Mierin. Obliga a Asmodean a servir a Rand y revela que castigó a Isendre Kadere por robo. Advierte a Rand sobre otros Forsaken y se marcha a través de una puerta mágica.
