Chapter 5 - Questioners
Egwene
Egwene dirige el interrogatorio a Joiya y Amico, tejiendo escudos y ataduras alrededor de los prisioneros. Observa los cambios físicos en Amico, duda del relato de Joiya sobre Mazrim Taim y lucha con la tensión interpersonal entre ella y Nynaeve respecto a la autoridad y el comportamiento.
Chapter 6 - Doorways

Egwene supports Elayne's decision regarding Rand, affirming that she loves him only as a brother and encouraging Elayne to speak her heart. She reacts with horrified understanding to the scale of the war Moiraine proposes and suggests traditional Two Rivers methods for expressing romantic interest.
Chapter 7 - Playing with Fire

Egwene enters Rand's chambers with Elayne to teach him to channel, testing his sensitivity to saidar and attempting to guide him into the Flame and Void. She becomes frustrated and frightened when Rand accidentally shields her from the Source and later destroys part of his room in a fit of emotion, and ultimately rejects his romantic expectations by declaring she only loves him as a brother.
Chapter 8 - Hard Heads

Chapter 11 - What Lies Hidden

Egwene deja atrás su anillo y entra en Tel'aran'rhiod para buscar a la Ajah Negra en Tanchico. Explora el Palacio de la Panarch, se desplaza accidentalmente al Desierto Aiel donde se ve obligada a permanecer desnuda ante una mujer Aiel antes de liberarse con el Poder Único, y finalmente se encuentra con la Sabia Amys, quien le advierte sobre un mal oscuro y le ordena buscar entrenamiento en la Tierra Triple.
Chapter 12 - Tanchico or the Tower

Egwene wakes from Tel'aran'rhiod, exhausted and sweaty, and explains her meeting with the Wise One Amys to her friends. She persuades Elayne and Nynaeve to let her go to Cold Rocks Hold for training, reasoning that learning from Amys will help her find the Black Ajah more effectively than searching blindly in Tanchico. Moiraine announces that the prisoners are dead, their tongues nailed to their cell doors, and suggests that the Black Ajah has resources beyond what is known, leaving the specific motive for their deaths to interpretation.
Chapter 16 - Leavetakings

Egwene waits for Elayne and Nynaeve to finish dividing Moiraine's gold, preparing to travel to the Three-fold Land. She expresses shock at Rand's decision to send Perrin into the dangerous Ways and later exchanges hugs and cautions with her departing friends. After their goodbyes, Elayne wipes tears from her cheeks and resolves to find a way to keep Rand interested.
Chapter 21 - Into the Heart

Egwene accompanies Moiraine to the Heart of the Stone, expressing concern and anger at Rand's decisions. She listens to Rand's announcement and his conversation with Moiraine, questioning whether he is mad, and announces her intention to leave for the Waste with Aviendha.
Chapter 22 - Out of the Stone

Chapter 23 - Beyond the Stone

Egwene stumbles from the disorientation of the Portal Stone jump and later drinks water shared by Lan and Moiraine. She observes the interactions between the Wise Ones, Rand, and Mat, and eventually accepts Amys's offer to begin learning dreamwalking, agreeing to forget her status as Aes Sedai while a pupil.
Chapter 28 - To the Tower of Ghenjei

Egwene appears in a vision in the wolf dream, staring in surprise with a woman with long white hair as the White Tower crumbles behind them.
Chapter 34 - He Who Comes with the Dawn

Egwene scrambles down the mountain with the other Wise Ones, consternated to see Rand and Mat. She observes the markings on Rand's arms and offers a perspective on the limitations of healing to counter his frustration. She attempts to comfort Rand regarding his parents and tries to feed him.
Chapter 35 - Sharp Lessons
Egwene — aliases: pupil, Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah (Aes Sedai del Ajah Verde)
Egwene meets Elayne in Tel'aran'rhiod, learning that Elayne is being taught by Jorin to work the weather and hearing about Elayne's insecurities, before being violently pulled from the dream by Amys. She endures a magical punishment and is forced to agree to strict behavioral rules, including dressing as a child, before joining the Wise Ones and Moiraine to discuss surveillance of Rand.
Chapter 36 - Misdirections
Egwene
Egwene rides with the Wise Ones and Moiraine, wearing her hair in braids with red ribbons. She dismounts to speak with the Wise Ones and later gestures toward Rand, wanting to check on him, though she remains with the women's party.
Chapter 48 - An Offer Refused
Egwene
Egwene walks with the Wise Ones and later approaches Rand with Moiraine and the other Wise Ones to check on his condition. She has stopped wearing her hair in braids, signaling a change accepted by the Wise Ones, and appears to have gained Aes Sedai authority.
Chapter 49 - Cold Rocks Hold
Egwene
Egwene arrives at Cold Rocks Hold with Moiraine and the other Wise Ones. She is greeted warmly by Roofmistress Lian and sits during the meal on white tiles, watching Rand's interaction with Aviendha with a worried look.
Chapter 52 - Need
Egwene
Egwene appears in Tel'aran'rhiod alongside Amys and Bair, warning Nynaeve that entering another's dream is dangerous because the dreamer controls the dream. She agrees to meet with Nynaeve in seven days to discuss Rand's acceptance as the Car'a'carn.
Chapter 57 - A Breaking in the Three-fold Land
Egwene
Egwene rides with Moiraine and the Wise Ones to the hilltop, speaks briefly with Rand about his isolation, and watches the events unfold from above before Rand departs.
Chapter 58 - The Traps of Rhuidean

Egwene stands on the ledge at Alcair Dal, looking pained as she half-stretches out a hand toward Rand. She exclaims how Rand knew about Isendre's punishment and watches him prepare to ride away.
