Chapter 11 - Ideas of Importance

Rand enters a palace storeroom through a gateway, struggling with the taint of saidin, and walks with Min until they are stopped by Mistress Harfor. He adopts the persona of a workman named Nuli and is led to Nynaeve's rooms, where he reveals his true identity, shows her two ter'angreal, and explains his plan to cleanse saidin.

Rand rides out of Far Madding, retrieves Callandor from a concealed spot, and travels to a hill overlooking Shadar Logoth. He links with Nynaeve to channel the Choedan Kal, enduring immense agony to purge the taint from saidin. The effort destroys the city and one access key, leaving him unconscious and exhausted on the ground beside Nynaeve.
