Selene aparece nas câmaras de Rand, revelando-se como a Forsaken Lanfear, afirmando que Rand lhe pertence e tentando persuadi-lo a uni-se a ela para governar o mundo sob o Domínio das Trevas antes que ele mate um assassino que ela enviou.

Lanfear — aliases: the Daughter of the Night (a Filha da Noite)
Lanfear aparece a Rand durante a batalha, afirmando que não orquestrou o ataque e que gosta dele incerto e menos arrogante. Ela demonstra sua capacidade de neutralizar seu canalamento, permite que ele fuja para buscar Callandor e especula que não tentará matá-lo enquanto acreditar que pode reconquistá-lo.
Chapter 50 - Traps
Lanfear
Lanfear appears in Rand's dream in a pond, interacting with him before revealing her identity. She bites his neck, leaving a wound, and argues with a blurred male figure before vanishing. She is physically present in the dream narrative.
Chapter 57 - A Breaking in the Three-fold Land
Lanfear
Lanfear appears to Rand within his protective rain dome, revealing that Asmodean has fled Rhuidean to find a sa'angreal. She attempts to seduce Rand. Rand creates a doorway to follow Asmodean, stepping through it and leaving Lanfear behind.
Chapter 58 - The Traps of Rhuidean
Lanfear / Isendre / Mierin — aliases: Forsaken (Abandonado)
Lanfear aparece após Rand derrotar Asmodean, revelando seu nome como Mierin. Ela força Asmodean a servir Rand e revela que puniu Isendre Kadere por roubo. Ela alerta Rand sobre outros Forsaken e parte através de uma porta mágica.
