Prologue

Alviarin — aliases: the Keeper of the Chronicles (o Guardião das Crônicas)

Alviarin relata a Elaida, adiando a revelação da identidade da Amyrlin rebelde até o final da audiência. Após deixar Elaida, ela relata a Mesaana, uma das Escolhidas, ajoelhando-se em submissão. Mesaana exige obediência absoluta, ameaçando extinguir Alviarin por qualquer compartilhamento não autorizado de informações, e oferece ensiná-la pessoalmente. Alviarin deduz que Mesaana reside dentro da Torre, interpretando a incapacidade da Escolhida de canalizar nesta forma como uma necessidade de ocultação.

Chapter 32 - Sealed to the Flame

Alviarin — aliases: Keeper

Alviarin reports to Elaida on the disaster at Dumai's Wells and the existence of hundreds of male channelers. She subtly blackmails Elaida by implying she knows of Elaida's impending fall, forcing the Amyrlin to accept her advice to abandon the rescue of prisoners and to stir discord among the Ajahs by punishing specific sisters for keeping angreal.
