Chapter 7 - A Matter of Thought

Sheriam leads a group of six Aes Sedai in Tel'aran'rhiod to spy on Elaida's study. She is among those who accept the nightmare as real when they cross the boundary, becoming trapped in the cavern with the Trollocs. Elayne and Siuan manage to convince her to reject the dream's reality, allowing her to escape, though she is left physically battered and weeping.
Chapter 12 - Questions and Answers

Sheriam attempts to defend the Hall's position to Tarna, stating they have asked for more time. She later urges that they have gone too far to turn back and must ensure the 'biddable child' does as she should.
Chapter 15 - A Pile of Sand
Sheriam — aliases: Sitter
Sheriam listens to Elayne and Nynaeve's report about the ter'angreal, decides to write to Merilille, and punishes the Accepted for their outburst.
Chapter 29 - Fire and Spirit
Sheriam
Sheriam leaves a meeting room with other sisters, stopping Myrelle from speaking to Nynaeve, and later sends Tabitha to summon Thom and Juilin for reports to the Sitters.
Chapter 30 - To Heal Again

Sheriam confronts Nynaeve regarding the healing of Logain, pretending to believe it might be a delusion to provoke Nynaeve into proving it again. Later, she visits Elayne and Nynaeve to reveal their restored Aes Sedai status.
Chapter 32 - Summoned in Haste

Sheriam appears in the Heart of the Stone within Tel'aran'rhiod, formally summoning Egwene before the Hall. She exchanges glances with her companions and provides directions to Salidar, noting that Siuan believes a day or two would suffice for the journey.
Chapter 34 - Journey to Salidar

Sheriam is the strongest woman in the room aside from Egwene. She leaps from her chair upon Egwene's arrival, waves Nildra out, and solemnly informs Egwene that she is to be the next Amyrlin Seat.
Chapter 35 - In the Hall of the Sitters
Sheriam — aliases: Sitter, Mother
Sheriam leads the group of Aes Sedai summoned for Egwene, lecturing her on the law and the ceremony, and ultimately pledges her life for Egwene before rising to kiss her ring as the new Amyrlin.
Chapter 36 - The Amyrlin Is Raised
Sheriam — aliases: Mother, Sheriam Bayanar, Keeper of the Chronicles
Sheriam guides Egwene through her duties, is named Keeper of the Chronicles by Egwene during the ceremony, and later warns Egwene about the Hall's power and the need to consult them on decrees, positioning herself and her allies as Egwene's essential advisors.
Chapter 37 - When Battle Begins

Sheriam receives a ter'angreal ring from Elayne and listens to Elayne's concerns about Romanda and Lelaine pressuring the Amyrlin. She agrees to do what she can to help Egwene maintain her authority against the Sitters' influence.
Chapter 39 - Possibilities

Sheriam enters Egwene's study, dismisses Nynaeve and Elayne, and argues that the Hall should leave Salidar to avoid conflict with Mat's army. Egwene uses Sheriam's reluctance to remain under the threat of the Dragonsworn to persuade her to concede that leaving Salidar sooner than planned has become necessary.

Sheriam, wearing the blue Keeper’s stole, talks with Myrelle and a bluff-faced sister while following Egwene, staring at Mat with suspicion.
