Chapter 15 - A Pile of Sand

Egwene wakes from a dream of Gawyn and suffers from head pains, then listens to the Wise Ones discuss dreamwalking rules. Wearing the Great Serpent ring on a thong around her neck, she avoids the odd looks caused by wearing it on her hand. She is too tired to prepare sleepwell root to clear her headache, so she collapses back onto her bedding. After a conversation with the Wise Ones, she is assigned menial labor.

Egwene walks through Cairhien's bustling streets, observing the city life and listening to rumors before spotting an Aes Sedai embassy. She flees to the Aiel camp to warn the Wise Ones and Berelain, then undergoes strenuous physical tests to prove her health before resting alone in her tent after the chiefs join the Wise Ones in the sweat tent.
Chapter 25 - Like Lightning and Rain

Egwene wakes up and joins the Wise Ones for breakfast, providing detailed character assessments of the embassy leaders Nesune and Sarene. She later sneaks into Cairhien, uses a stone to eavesdrop on the Aes Sedai's activities, and has an emotional private meeting with Gawyn where they reaffirm their love and make critical promises regarding Rand al'Thor and secrecy.
Chapter 27 - Gifts

Egwene sneaks into the Sun Palace and confronts Rand al'Thor, warning him to show proper deference to the Aes Sedai embassy. Rand uses a weave of saidin to make her invisible, allowing her to witness the audience with Coiren, Nesune, and Galina. After the embassy leaves, Egwene leaves the palace, realizing she cannot stay hidden from the Aes Sedai forever and deciding to leave the city.
Chapter 32 - Summoned in Haste

Egwene navigates the tense political atmosphere in the Aiel camp, enduring mockery from Sevanna. She secretly travels to the Alguenya river, channels to bind three Sea Folk Windfinders after they cut her ladder, and flees the riverbank. She later undergoes dreamwalking tests with Amys and Bair, who permit her to enter Tel'aran'rhiod, where she accepts a summons to the Tower and learns the location of Salidar.
Chapter 33 - Courage to Strengthen

Egwene kneels before Amys, Bair, and Sorilea, confessing to her lies about being Aes Sedai and her secret entry into Tel'aran'rhiod. She accepts a corporal punishment from the Wise Ones to meet her toh, weeping and trembling before being forgiven and embraced by the group, then prepares to travel to Salidar.

Egwene packs her saddlebags and, unable to resist the urge to act, enters Tel'aran'rhiod in the flesh. She creates a shimmering weave to cloak her tent, summons her mare Bela, and rides her across the dream landscape at breakneck speed to Altara before stepping back into the waking world to find Sheriam Sedai.
Chapter 35 - In the Hall of the Sitters

Egwene is summoned to the Hall of the Sitters and, after frantic preparations and rehearsals, is raised to the Amyrlin Seat. She numbly answers the Hall’s questions, washes the feet of the seated Sitters, and accepts the stole and ring, laughing in relief before receiving the pledges of loyalty from the assembled sisters.
Chapter 36 - The Amyrlin Is Raised

Egwene learns of the captured Moghedien and forces Nynaeve to hand over the a'dam, using it to intimidate the Forsaken and demand honesty. She experiments with weaving saidin to create a gateway to the Aiel Waste, shocking her companions, and then firmly establishes her authority by summoning Siuan Sanche to serve as her advisor, rejecting any interference from the Hall.
Chapter 38 - A Sudden Chill

Egwene sits behind a table wearing the seven-striped stole of the Amyrlin Seat. She attempts to address Mat but is interrupted when he pulls her from the chair and throws her stole aside, ordering her to make a gateway to Caemlyn.
Chapter 39 - Possibilities

Egwene sits in her chair and firmly refuses Mat’s proposal to flee to Caemlyn, asserting her authority and warning him against spreading rumors of fealty to Rand. She later schemes with Elayne and Nynaeve to use Mat as an escort to Ebou Dar, and successfully manipulates Sheriam into agreeing that the Hall must move to Ebou Dar to avoid conflict with Bryne's forces.
Chapter 44 - The Color of Trust

Egwene emerges with two dozen Aes Sedai to see off the party. She accepts Mat’s kneeling tribute, tells him to stay out of trouble, and watches him leave before addressing the Hall with Sheriam, declaring they must proceed with their plans.
