Lord Luc arrive au camp de Perrin, discutant de la sécurité d'Emond's Field et suggérant aux hommes d'y retourner. Il part protéger le village après que Gaul ait signalé à Perrin l'arrivée de Trollocs, laissant Perrin mener la chasse.

Lord Luc returns to Emond’s Field carrying a Myrddraal head as a trophy and warns Perrin about the danger of trusting the Whitecloaks before riding back into the village.

Lord Luc arrives on a rearing black stallion, claiming there are fewer than a thousand Trollocs and tossing a bag of Trolloc heads to Perrin. He later rides furiously through the village, appearing injured or distressed, before galloping south out of sight.
