Egeanin meets Floran Gelb in the Garden of Silver Breezes, paying him for information about channelers and receiving a captured a'dam. She observes Bayle Domon in the wineshop, interacts with the proprietor Selindrin, and walks through the streets of Tanchico, noting the presence of Inquisitor Carridin. Later, she visits her home where a Seeker for Truth interrogates her about the progress of Suroth's agents, specifically regarding sul'dam deserters, before she checks on the collared damane Bethamin in her basement.

Chapter 52 - Need

Egeanin wakes with Nynaeve and Elayne and is horrified to see the men ogling them in their shifts. She identifies the mysterious Seanchan man in the hallway as someone seeking her, possibly for his own purposes, and advises that he should be killed.
Chapter 54 - Into the Palace

Egeanin travels with Elayne and Nynaeve to the palace, disguising herself as a servant. She opens the doors to the Panarch's apartments for Elayne and stands guard at the entrance, folding her arms and watching the events unfold.
Chapter 55 - Into the Deep

Egeanin accompanies the group out of the palace, observes the cursed artifacts, and reflects on the similarities between herself and Nynaeve, later frowning as she considers the departure of the Illianer.
